Summary

Anita Linde is currently on detail as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Director for Management at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). In this role, Anita is a key contributor to leadership communications, strategic planning, organizational development and change management initiatives across the NCI. Since joining NIH in 1994 as a Presidential Management Intern, Anita has held leadership and staff positions across the agency in administrative management; legislative policy and analysis; science policy and planning; and communications and public liaison. Her deep commitment to NIH’s public health mission has been recognized with more than a dozen awards, including the NIH Director's Award for exemplary service as a mentor and the NCI Director’s Champion Award for Leading Diversity. In 2020, Anita was selected as Coach/Mentor of the Year for the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. She is the Past Chair for the PMF Subcommittee of NIH’s Administrative Training Committee. Anita joined NIH from Vanderbilt University, where she received a Master of Public Policy in Policy Development and Program Evaluation. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia, where she studied Comparative Literature and French. Anita is an alumna of the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University and the NIH Executive Leadership Program.
