Summary

Dr. Fatemeh Navid received her doctoral degree at the University of Hamburg in Germany. She has received numerous awards, including the Phora Photo Dermatology Award (2009), the European Society of Dermatological Research Travel Grant (2010), and the Spartan Fellow Award (2015).

Research Statement

We are studying endoplasmic reticulum (ER) quality control pathways that regulate the degradation of misfolded forms of HLA-B27, including autophagy and ERAD, and the role of ER stress in the pathogenesis of experimental spondyloarthritis.
