Summary

Ms. Buschman is a Health Specialist in the Division of Extramural Activities. In this position, she serves as the Guide Liaison where she oversees the publication of funding opportunities in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. She also oversees operations, including the development and coordination of extramural programs and policies within the Institute.

Ms. Buschman joined the NIAMS in March 2007 as a Research Program Analyst for what was then called the Division of Skin and Rheumatic Diseases.

Prior to coming to NIAMS, Ms. Buschman worked in Missouri for St. John’s Health Systems as a Juvenile Arthritis Coordinator and then as a Marketing Coordinator.

Ms. Buschman received a B.S. from Ursinus College and an M.S. in health promotion and wellness management from Missouri State University. She is a graduate of the NIH Senior Leadership Program. Her commitment to the NIH has been recognized by numerous awards, including multiple NIH Director's Awards.
