Kan Ma, Ph.D, is the scientific review officer in the Scientific Review Branch at the NIAMS. He received his Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Ma began his career at the NIH as a Research Fellow in the Laboratory of Muscle Biology at NIAMS, where his research focused on protein-protein interactions and muscle proteomics. Prior to returning to NIH, Dr. Ma served as Director of Analytical Laboratory in the Institute of Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
