Phillip’s laboratory at the Center for Drug Safety and Immunology and in Dr. Eric Tkaczyk’s laboratory at the Vanderbilt Dermatology Translational Research Clinic. Sophia studied drug-specific cellular and molecular signatures associated with allopurinol-induced Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN). In addition, Sophia worked on developing photography and training protocols for the North American Therapeutics in Epidermal Necrolysis Syndrome (NATIENS) clinical trial.

Sophia currently works in Dr. Michael J. Ombrello's lab at NIAMS as a postbac fellow. She plans to pursue an MD-PhD focusing on immunology.
