Summary

Dr. Brooks received his Ph.D. from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and did post-doctoral training at NIAMS studying immune cell signaling. After a brief hiatus, Dr. Brooks returned to NIAMS to join the Biodata Mining and Discovery Section.

Research Statement

The Biodata Mining and Discovery Section, led by Dr. Hong-Wei Sun, provides bioinformatics support to various labs within NIAMS. Dr. Brooks specializes in transcriptional regulation and microbiome analysis, including bulk and single cell RNA-Seq and ATAC-Seq as well as bulk ATAC-Seq. He also develops and implements cutting edge new data analysis methods and approaches.
