Summary

Adel Amirkhani holds a bachelor's degree in cell and molecular biology-biochemistry and a master's degree in cell and molecular sciences. In his thesis, Adel investigated the expression of the ZFHX4 gene in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. He has worked as a lab scientist and research assistant in clinical and bench research. Theoretically and practically, he thoroughly understands cellular and molecular techniques.

Research Statement

While studying for his graduate degree, Adel focused on esophageal and colorectal carcinomas tumor genesis and prognostic factors. In the years following graduation, he studied the relationship between cancer genesis and the gut microbiome.

Adel's current research interest is the study of skin microbes in patients and healthy volunteers. His research aims to understand the underlying mechanisms of host-microbe interactions and investigate the characteristics of skin microbial communities using advanced cell and molecular techniques.
